JW Marriott Hanoi Boost Vietnam's MICE Profile
Marriott International is expanding into Southeast Asia with the unveiling of the JW Marriott Hotel Hanoi. The property is the JW Marriott brand’s third to open in Asia within the past two months.
The 450-room, 800,000 square foot JW Marriott Hotel Hanoi is reportedly a ‘reverse skyscraper’ located in the city's new central business district and adjacent to the National Convention Center, the JW Marriott Hotel Hanoi is poised to become a key player for leisure and business within the city’s growing and dynamic hotel industry.
For large corporate and association events, the hotel has more than 38,750 square feet of flexible meeting space. It has a total of 17 meeting rooms including two ballrooms of 10,763 square feet and 5,166 square feet, respectively, with large public foyers. All meeting facilities are located on the ground floor with a dedicated entrance and parking.
The JW Marriott Hanoi has six restaurant and bar outlets including the French Grill, a French inspired outlet serving seafood and steaks; and a Chinese restaurant specializing in Cantonese fare (open in January 2014).
Mitzi Gaskins, Vice President & Global Brand Manager for JW Marriott Hotels & Resorts, noted that of the more than 30 hotels in the company's current pipeline, 50 percent are in Asia.
