Supplier News: Three New Packages, Products for Meeting Planners




A number of new packages and products are on offer for meeting and event planners this week. 

A Puppy Meetings Package at the Renaissance Reno Downtown Hotel

Meetings have gone to the dogs at the Renaissance Reno Downtown Hotel. The 214-room riverfront hotel, with 13,000 square feet of meeting space and a location near the Reno Convention Center, has launched a Puppy Meetings Package that offers groups a 30-minute play date with a bevy of fun-loving dogs. The break promises to unleash the benefits of interacting with pets—which range from mood improvement to reduced stress—with the goal of higher productivity and a more “pawsitive” meeting experience. A portion of the proceeds from the package are donated to the animal rescue organization of the meeting planner’s choice.

The Puppy Meetings Package is valid for events at Renaissance Reno Downtown Hotel with 25 or more attendees.

The pet-friendly hotel, located on the Truckee River Riverwalk, caters to groups of up to 650 with eight event rooms, a full range of audiovisual equipment and services, dedicated event planners and custom catering. It also has guest accommodations with modern décor and high-tech entertainment, Mediterranean dining at The Shore Room, a 24-hour fitness center, seasonal outdoor swimming pool, and Northern Nevada’s only indoor/outdoor bocce ball court.

New MICE Package at Seadust Cancun

Seadust Cancun Family Resort has launched a newly reimagined MICE and groups package. Available until December 31, 2019, the new package provides a number of complimentary benefits, including a welcome cocktail with free alcoholic beverages and bites, a private buffet dinner for the group and one prearranged coffee break, among others. Additionally, the event organizer will be assigned a strategic on-site event planner who will provide personalized service throughout the group’s stay. 

Room upgrades and free nights will be assigned based on number of rooms and nights reserved per group. For example, the property provides a Luxury Suite stay after groups have booked at least 15 rooms for three nights, as well as a room upgrade to a Club Suite for any member of the group. Other perks and benefits are incorporated to the package following the confirmation of 60 rooms per night.

The resort has 12,000 feet of meeting space, including a convention center with room for up to 800 guests, plus private boardrooms and terraces overlooking the ocean. Also on property are 11 restaurants, nine bars, a cinema-style theater, a full service spa and a number of family-friendly amenities, including a waterpark, zipline and mini-golf course, among others. 

Additionally, for groups the hotel is able to arrange private check-in, complimentary wi-fi, welcome drinks, spa discounts and more.

Millennium Hotels Launches New Corporate Bookings Product

Millennium Hotels & Resorts has launched a new corporate bookings product: Millennium for Business. An update of the company’s previous offering, Business Direct, the new digital program has been design for small and medium enterprises. 

Millennium for Business is integrated with the MyMillennium rewards program and allows users to sign on via social media and use a streamlined central dashboard to manage travel, make itinerary style bookings, cater to team member needs and earn rewards. The service also gives travel managers access to insights and reporting, and all bookings benefit from the company’s updated Best Rate Promise

Millennium Hotels & Resorts collaborated with the SME travel industry to design the benefits on offer to Millennium for Business users and guests, such as regular room upgrades, 15 percent off on all dining and events, early check-in and late check-out, and access to club or executive lounge. This new program is available across all of MHR’s hotels in Asia, Europe, Middle East and the US. London, Paris, New York, Beijing, Los Angeles, Singapore and other destinations are on offer to the SME’s for combining business and leisure trips, an up and coming trend seen within travel.
