New Nobu Hotel to Bring Private Rooftop Venue to Tel Aviv

Tel Aviv is set to get a new, Nobu-branded rooftop dining venue.

Nobu Hospitality reports that it has reached a deal to open a new Nobu Hotel and Restaurant in Tel Aviv, Israel, marking the 17th property in the brand’s portfolio. The Nobu Hotel Tel Aviv will be designed by Gerry Schwartz and Heather Reisman

Built around a Nobu restaurant at its core, the new boutique hotel will be located at 55 Rothschild Boulevard and 66 Ahad Ha'am Street, one of Tel Aviv's original neighborhoods. The hotel will have 38 guest rooms, a large garden, a fitness center and a pool.

While few details on meeting venues were available at this time, plans do call for outdoor spaces and a private rooftop.

The first Nobu Hotel opened in 2013 as a boutique hotel within Caesar's Palace Las Vegas. Nobu Hotel City of Dreams Manila opened in 2014, Nobu Hotel Miami Beach in 2016, Nobu Ryokan Malibu, Nobu Hotel Shoreditch London, Nobu Hotel Ibiza Bay and Nobu Hotel Epiphany Palo Alto opened in 2017 and Nobu Hotel Marbella opened in 2018. Other Nobu Hotels are in development for Barcelona, Riyadh, Los Cabos, Chicago, Toronto, São Paulo and Atlanta.

New Dusit Resort in Vietnam to Have Ballroom for Up to 190

Thailand-based hotel development company Dusit International is opening its first resort in Vietnam this month: the Dusit Princess Moonrise Beach Resort, which will be on the country’s largest island, Phu Quoc.

The centerpiece of the resort is a large infinity pool with ocean views, set within a tropical garden. Other facilities include a gym, a kids club, a large ballroom accommodating up to 190 people, and Luna Thai Spa.

Designed to blend Dusit’s Thai heritage with Vietnamese culture and local traditions, the family-friendly resort comprises 108 contemporary guest rooms (ranging from Deluxe Rooms to Suites), most of which have ocean views.

The resort’s dining options include an all-day-dining restaurant, a lobby lounge, a swim-up pool bar serving Thai, Vietnamese and Western cuisines and Soi 14, a beachfront bar and lounge serving a contemporary spin on Thai street food.

Located in the south of Vietnam in the Gulf of Thailand, Phu Quoc is a fast-growing tourist destination known for its long, sweeping beaches, rich coral reefs, fresh seafood, pearl farms, and dense, tropical rainforest, Dusit said.

Operating under Dusit’s upper midscale Dusit Princess brand, the new resort is centrally located on the island’s west coast overlooking Bai Truong beach, which is also known as Long Beach. Phu Quoc (PQC) International Airport and the Duong To town center are a short drive away.

During their stay, groups can arrange to visit popular local attractions such as Phu Quoc National Park, part of the UNESCO designated Kien Giang Biosphere Reserve; Bai Sao beach; the Dinh Cau night market; and various traditional temples.
