Hilton Garden Inn New Orleans Convention Center Completes Renovation

Hilton Garden Inn New Orleans Convention Center has completed a significant renovation of its 286-room hotel located at 1001 S. Peters St. The hotel has been completely transformed, from its guest rooms and suites to its public spaces. The property is owned by RLJ Lodging Trust and managed by Interstate Hotels & Resorts.

Wrought iron, exposed brick, and reclaimed wood aim to hint at the French and Spanish influences on the city, while cheerful blues and pops of orange announce its contemporary rebirth. Located one block from the Ernest N. Morial Convention Center in the Arts and Warehouse District, the hotel is designed to meet both business and leisure travel needs.

As part of the renovation, the guest experience was enhanced via:

- Reimagined dining: The Garden Grille & Bar was opened up to connect with the lobby, creating a friendly, communal space with plenty of seats around three large new TVs. The Garden offers a full cooked-to-order breakfast buffet and a selection of craft cocktails* and shareable plates at the bar to complement local menu favorites.
- Enriched recreation: The rooftop pool (one of downtown’s very few) received a facelift, and significant upgrades were made to the fitness center including all new equipment and flooring. New furniture and landscaping complete the hotel’s courtyard - a New Orleans staple.
- Updated guest room experience: Guestrooms and suites were made-over with new furniture, an updated color palette, and local art to complement views of the Port of New Orleans or the city skyline. Each guestroom boasts the brand’s signature bedding featuring fresh, white duvets and crisp linens and an in-room "hospitality center" with a mini fridge, microwave oven, and Keurig® coffee maker. Improvements were made to the hotel’s WiFi, better enabling Hilton Honors members to use the mobile app to check-in, choose rooms, and access their room using a Digital Key.
- Rejuvenated event space: All 5,000+ square feet of function space was updated with French Quarter-inspired chandeliers and art; new carpet; and modern banquet furniture and equipment. The Garden Ballroom, which can host 200 guests, is an excellent choice for weddings or conferences. There are several break-out rooms and boardrooms to round out the meeting space.
