Beach Venues: Sanderling Resort Renovates Event House

Sanderling Resort in North Carolina’s Outer Banks is opening a redesigned Event House this spring.

Following a complete renovation, the Event House will have three separate meeting spaces on the second floor, each with coastal or sound side views. One room will have 1,800 square feet of meeting space with an opening to its own walk-out deck facing the ocean, while the other two rooms will function as breakout spaces or as board rooms.

On the updated first floor, there will be an enlarged foyer and gathering space, for an increased event capacity for up to 100 guests. The project will also add a new elevator and kitchen to the venue.

Accommodations at the property are available at the North and South Inn, as well as in the centrally located Beach House. Groups at the property can also enjoy the beach, three indoor and outdoor pools (one of which is adults-only), a fitness center, a spa and a full range of water, land and airborne activities.

Dream Nashville Opens With 8,000 Sq Ft of Event Space

Dream Hotel Group has opened the Dream Nashville, bringing a variety of new event space to the historic Printer’s Alley in the city’s downtown area.

Set on the site of the city’s first boutique hotel, The Utopia, and the neighboring (and, allegedly, notorious) The Climax Saloon, the new hotel has 8,000 square feet of meeting and events space that offer a number of amenities for events, conferences and more.

The hotel also has 168 Art Deco-inspired guestrooms, including 21 suites. For example, the 1,400-square-foot Guest House has amenities such as a mahogany poker table and a custom Dream Brew on tap, while the 1,200-square-foot Terrace suite includes an outdoor grill with an on-call “barbecue butler.” Other amenities include a locally inspired art collection, a voice command virtual concierge, a fitness center, a dedicated concierge and pet-friendly offerings.

Also on property are seven dining and nightlife options, including Stateside Kitchen, helmed by Hillstone Restaurant Group alumni and led by Executive Chef Michael Kopfman, and the nightlife venue Dirty Little Secret. Other options include Snitch, Easy 8, Natura Café and Coffee Shop and Superfine Bakeshop

Guests at the hotel also receive complimentary car service in the Lincoln Navigator and Lincoln Nautilus via a partnership with The Lincoln Motor Company
