Supplier News: New in Berlin, London

A revamped ballroom in Berlin and new F&B in London lead this week's supplier news in the meetings and events industry.

Hotel Adlon Kempinski Berlin Revamps Ballroom

The Hotel Adlon Kempinski Berlin reports that it has completed a $2.9 million renovation of its grand ballroom. Interior designer Anne Maria Jagdfeld led the refresh of the approximately 57,000 square foot space.

Inspired by historic ballrooms, the Adlon's new ballroom has chandeliers set above soft, Versailles-style carpet-parquet flooring created by the House of Tai Ping. Other touches include giant mirrors by Verre D'Or, and inspired by designer Emma Peascod's "reverse glass gilding" technique, as well as wall lighting by Venini of Murano, Italy. Gold-colored reflectors add additional light to the space. Materials for the revamp were sourced locally and nationally in Germany

The Adlon ballroom can be set up to host celebrations, conferences and meetings, with catering provided by the hotel's kitchens, or with new live cooking stations set up within the ballroom. A number of options for coffee breaks are also available. The hotel’s events team can also provide assistance with separate group check-in, baggage handling, VIP upgrades and amenities in rooms and suites, distribution of guest gifts in their rooms, early check-in, transfers, entertainment programs, package management, and an exclusive booking link and booking website for the event. There is also an events office equipped with computers, Internet and telephones, as well as an event butler.

The Hotel Adlon Kempinski Berlin is near Berlin’s famous Brandenburg Gate. It has 307 guest rooms, 78 suites, three restaurants and a spa and wellness area.
