Supplier News: Four Seasons Into China, Park Hyatt Into St. Kitts

Four Seasons just opened a new luxury hotel in China with a total of 31,679 square feet of space for meetings and events, including two pillar-free ballrooms, eight function rooms and a VIP Room, plus natural lighting, an outdoor balcony, a Bridal Suite, a vehicle-accessible elevator and professional in-house florist. The catering and conference service team assist guests in planning and customizing business meetings, corporate events, and weddings.

The Four Seasons Hotel Tianjin is now offering a special MICE package for meetings, incentives, conferences and events featuring a rate of CNY 1,188 nett per room inclusive of breakfast, full day use of the event space with lunch there or in one of the restaurants, and two tea breaks per day. The new hotel is in the city’s Central Business District, with direct access to the main shopping street and within walking distance of nightlife options and the city’s historic quarters. It is also 30 minutes from Beijing via high-speed train. 

The hotel has five dining and drinking concepts, with more than a dozen private dining rooms. Cielo is the hotel’s signature Italian restaurant on the ninth floor, with a Michelin-starred head chef, an open kitchen concept and a menu offering homemade pizza and wood-grill meats, as well as a walk-in dry ageing room. Also on the ninth floor, the Gusto Bar serves handcrafted cocktails, and a selection of bourbons and whiskies, with its drinks concept developed by luxury spirits company Proof & Company.

On the seventh floor, JIN House offers a high-style Cantonese and Tianjin cuisine dining experience with a sunken dining hall and 11 individual rooms for private dining and entertaining. For a more intimate lunch or dinner, the 22-seat Kawa sushi lounge serves organic and sustainable seafood flown directly from Hokkaido.

The La Sala lobby lounge on the second floor serves afternoon tea and light meals.

Opening soon are an outdoor terrace at Cielo and an outdoor garden pavilion at JIN House to allow guests to dine high above the city streets.

The hotel also has 259 accommodations, including 44 suites. Both the Chairman Suite and Presidential Suite offer city views from the hotel’s highest floors, with space for entertaining. Suites and connecting rooms are also available for families, as well as special child-size room amenities, baby gear so families can travel light, and the Kids for All Seasons program providing fully supervised fun for young guests, including a children’s playground.

The Executive Club Lounge on the sixth floor offers VIP concierge services, complimentary dining options, a private meeting room and many other exclusive benefits. The hotel’s business center, also on the sixth floor, provides access to audio-visual equipment, secretarial and translation services, airline reservations, worldwide courier service and more.

Guests can also make use of a fitness center, open 24/7, as well as a sky-lit indoor swimming pool with adjacent whirlpool, juice bar and pool deck lined with lounge chairs and day beds.

Soon, the hotel will open L’Océan Spa, with 11 treatment rooms, including three couples rooms and a couples suite with its own private relaxation room.

Park Hyatt St. Kitts Christophe Harbour

Park Hyatt St. Kitts Christophe Harbour, the first Park Hyatt hotel in the Caribbean, will make its debut this summer on Banana Bay in St. Kitts.

Drawing on the local tradition of hosting events in private homes, the 126-room resort will have a Reception Hall with five private event spaces, an outdoor terrace and two event lawns. The facility will have a total of over 7,000 square feet of dedicated event space. 

All 78 rooms and 48 suites will arch and face the golden sandy beach of Banana Bay. Sustainably designed with local materials and unique water features throughout, each room’s decor will showcase the views of the Caribbean and the resort grounds, with touches such as private balconies and terraces, local artwork, rain-showers and deep soaking tubs. 

Premium suites will have private rooftop swimming pools and sundecks. The three-bedroom Presidential Villa will be equipped with a private infinity pool, a wellness area, a personal butler and a private chef.

The resort will showcase local and international cuisine through three distinct dining experiences. The Great House, reflective of a grand colonial home, will offer all-day dining, a Rum Bar, an herb garden, a chef’s table, and a conservatory serving afternoon tea. The Fisherman’s Village will serve "ocean-to-table" lunch and dinner. The Stone Barn will bring an adult-only intimate dining experience. Pool bars will also offer the region’s rum.

The Sugar Mill Spa & Sanctuary will be home to nine treatment rooms, Watsu therapy and a 1,750-square-foot, 24-hour fitness club. Treatments will incorporate local herbs, and the shadow of the resort’s Sugar Mill will provide a tranquil location for daily yoga and meditation.

The Edgewater in Seattle is celebrating its 55th anniversary with two new buyout packages. 

the edgewaterFor $5.5 million, buyers will receive exclusive access to The Edgewater’s 223 guest rooms and Six Seven Restaurant & Lounge for 30 days with the “Life Begins at 55” package. Guests also have the option of renting the entire hotel for three days for $550,000 with “Own The Edge.” 

The new buyout options, which provide a full staff during the designated time period, give guests the chance to live like legendary musicians, such as The Beatles, KISS and The Rolling Stones, who have stayed at the property in years past. 

Special packages and programming with the “55” theme, which will be announced throughout the year, will be available during 2017 for guests staying at The Edgewater and those dining in Six Seven Restaurant & Lounge. Additionally, The Edgewater will partner with other Seattle sites and businesses also celebrating milestone anniversaries in honor of the hotel’s connection to the Seattle community.  

Pricing for the “Life Begins at 55” and the “Own The Edge” packages are based on double occupancy and excludes taxes and any and all fees. Services and charges do apply and gratuities are additional. The buyout packages are based on availability at the time of reservation and must be completed by March 31, 2018.
