Hyatt Regency Maui Resort and Spa Expands Meeting Space

In Hawaii, the Hyatt Regency Maui Resort and Spa has announced a new expansion to its meeting an event space, which included the creation of a new outdoor space named the Halona Kai event lawn and expansions to the resort's Regency Club and Monarchy Ballroom. The enhancements aim to improve lighting and air quality, as well as reduce energy usage.

The newly redesigned Regency Club has been relocated to the resort's lobby level and now offers a larger outdoor terrace with ocean views and the resort's Oriental Gardens. The resort's remodeled Monarchy Ballroom is now more than 18,000 square feet with the ability to be divided into seven breakout rooms. It also now has an open-air pre-function space.

Overlooking Ka'anapali Beach, the new Halona Kai event lawn is more than 9,500 square feet with capacity for up to 500 guests for seated events or receptions. It is situated above the resort's half-acre pool, and it has been designed with acoustic and audio/visual systems and wired with 200 amp outlets and data and television cabling.

New floor-to-ceiling windows have low-emissivity-coated glass, which helps minimize ultraviolet and infrared light, and indoor air quality was also improved with modern automation controls. Natirar in New Jersey to Open New Grand Ballroom in June 2017

In New Jersey, the 500-acre Natirar estate in the Somerset Hills has announced plans to restore its Tudor-era mansion and construct a new Grand Ballroom by June 2017.

The new Grand Ballroom will accommodate up to 225 guests and will be accessed from the mansion by a connecting Conservatory

The estate’s 35,000-square-foot Mansion dates back to 1912 and has a rich history, at one point serving as a residence for the sons of Morocco’s late former King Hassad II. The restoration will retain many of the estate’s historic features, including arches, stone fireplaces, heraldic carvings, leaded glass windows and period lighting fixtures. When it reopens in 2017, its Great Room will once again welcome indoor receptions and cocktails while outdoor gatherings will be accommodated on the brick patio of the Marquee, with views of the countryside. For wedding parties, a Bride’s Room and Groom’s Room will each offer a private space for last-minute preparations and special moments with loved ones.

Set along the Rarity River, the estate is less than an hour from New York City and 90 minutes from Philadelphia. The venue only hosts one event at a time.
