UK: Former AlliedPRA Directors Launch New DMC

Former AlliedPRA directors Leigh Butterfield and Jeremy Brown have launched a new destination management company (DMC) after their former employer pulled out of the UK.

The London-based DMC, 2B UK, has opened in the wake of the closure of the AlliedPRA UK office, which was part of the global DMC’s withdrawal from Europe to focus on North America.

Three of the former AlliedPRA UK office make up the 2B UK team, with more recruits expected to join.

Butterfield and Brown will focus on building client relationships, around 70 per cent of which were already in place at AlliedPRA, while expanding into new markets.

Butterfield said: “When AlliedPRA decided to pull out of Europe, in my mind there was definitely still a market for another DMC here. It is not a saturated market, and we are replacing one DMC with another. We continue to have a very good relationship with AlliedPRA.
