UK: Dmg's Digital Marketing Division Sold to Comexposium




Comexposium The meetings, exhibitions and events arm of the Daily Mail and General Trust, dmg events, has sold its digital marketing division to Comexposium Group.

Paris-based Comexposium is one of the world’s largest event organisers and operates more than 130 business and consumer trade shows and fairs, and the acquisition of dmg’s digital marketing is the latest phase of global expansion. 

Comexposium will retain all staff members of the division, which is responsible for ad:tech London and the iMedia Digital Summit in the UK, in addition to imedia and ad:tech events in Australia, India, Singapore, China and Japan

Annual accounts for the year-ending 30 September 2014, reveal dmg events UK posted a 31 per cent increase in turnover, as pro-tax profit hit £4 million - a £1.5m improvement on 2013's figures. The directors said the performance was driven by the move of the Gastech exhibition from Europe to Asia.
