American Airlines to Launch New York - Birmingham Flights in May
Good news for UK-bound business travelers: American Airlines is adding Birmingham, England (BHX) to its roster: New daily service from New York's John F. Kennedy International (JFK) is scheduled to begin May 7 with a Boeing 757. Birmingham will be American's fifth destination in the United Kingdom, and flights are already available for booking.
Flights leave JFK at 7 p.m. daily, arriving in Birmingham at 7:10 a.m. Flights from Birmingham will depart at 10 a.m., arriving at JFK at 12:55 p.m.
The airline offers expanded service for customers through its Atlantic joint business with British Airways, Iberia and Finnair and its oneworld alliance partners. Nice touch: The joint business has more lie-flat seats on routes between JFK and London Heathrow (LHR) than any other alliance.
