UK: UK Hotel Prices to Rise 7 Percent in 2017

UK hotel prices are expected to increase 7 per cent in 2017 despite the current boom in hotel developments, with close to 8,000 rooms expected to be finished in London alone this year.

londonThe forecast comes from the 2017 Global Travel Price Outlook, compiled by the Global Business Travel Association (GBTA) and Carlson Wagonlit Travel (CWT), which reveals UK hotels will see the highest price increase across Europe, the Middle East and Africa (EMEA). Sweden will see the second highest increase (4 per cent) while hotel prices will decline in Finland (-1 per cent), Russia (-2.6 per cent) and the Middle East and Africa (-0.5 per cent).
