UK: Leeds Set for Boost with New Business Improvement District CEO




Events in Leeds are set for a boost with the news that Andrew Cooper has been appointed chief executive of the Leeds Business Improvement District (BID).

Cooper will be responsible for leading the work of the BID as it invests more than £12 million in the city centre over the next five years. The BID will be working add value to the city centre through a strategic series of high profile events and marketing.

Cooper has been chief executive of the Bath BID since 2011, where he helped secure more than £4m of economic investment in the UNESCO World Heritage city. He is credited with helping to launch a host of high profile business events in the city, including Bath In Fashion and the Great Bath Feast.

Keith Ramsay, interim CEO of Leeds BID said: “We are incredibly ambitious about what we want to achieve for the Leeds BID area over the next five years.”
