UK: Hampshire Gets New Dedicated Conference Bureau
Hampshire County Council has launched a dedicated conference bureau for the county.
Hampshire Conference Bureau will showcase the full range of conference, meeting, incentive travel and event facilities across the county.
The council’s executive member for economy, transport and environment, councillor Seán Woodward, said: “We feel that Hampshire has great potential to benefit from more business conferences, meetings and events, particularly due to its strong transport links.
“The launch of the new Hampshire Conference Bureau, in partnership with Destination Southampton Ltd, will enable us to promote a wider range of our county’s venues to key national and international event planners and help grow our £3billion tourism economy.”
The bureau offers a professional venue finding service for any business conference and is managed by the team behind Southampton’s successful conference bureau, Destination Southampton.
Shirley Pinn, MD of Destination Southampton, said: “We are delighted to be working with Hampshire County Council and are pleased to officially launch the bureau website and social media platforms. New venues are being added to the Hampshire Conference Bureau website daily and include some amazing and wonderful locations such at Spitbank Fort in the Solent, Avington Park in Winchester and the Anvil in Basingstoke.”
