UK: Assured Events to Top £100k Profit
A raft of client wins among higher education associations has set Assured Events on course to top £100k profit for the first time.
The Cheshire-based agency achieved £1.08 million turnover last year, and MD Karl Perry says a marked increase in association business means profit is forecast to hit £100k.
Traditionally, Assured Events worked with fast moving consumer goods and leisure clients, such as Moneysupermarket and Molson Coors. Now, while those contracts have been retained, wins with higher education associations such as the Association of University Directors of Estates and the Environmental Association for Universities and Colleges mean business has soared in the last 24 months.
The corporate sector is still proving fruitful, too. Earlier this year Assured Events won a pitch to deliver an incentive for recruitment specialists PageGroup.
“Last year was our best year and this will smash that,” Perry said. “Over the last two years we had built quite a good mix of clients in leisure and FMCG, and that’s where we wanted to be and should be. But we started to get some traction with the association events.
