UK: Ashfield Meetings & Events Takes on Medex-Media
Ashfield Meetings & Events has boosted its offering by taking on Medex-Media, formerly part of the KnowledgePoint360 Group. The exhibition and live event division officially merged with the healthcare event agency on October 1.
Luke Flett, head of sales and marketing for Ashfield Meetings & Events, said UDG Healthcare plc, Ashfield's parent company, acquired the KnowledgePoint360 Group in March and since then, the company has been reviewing the businesses.
“The strategic decision to integrate the services of Medex-Media and Ashfield Meetings & Events will strengthen both businesses. Since the acquisition in March, we have already seen that by working collaboratively and blending skill sets we can develop more innovative solutions for our clients. This has already resulted in business development successes demonstrating that, by working together, we have a more powerful offering to our clients," he said.
Medex-Media work with healthcare clients to deliver exhibition and live event environments, from strategic consultancy that maps audience educational needs to relevant scientific congresses, dedicated project management and experiential design. It will continue to operate from its current office in Tytherington, Macclesfield, from where the team will deliver more than 70 international projects annually.
