Religious gathering smashes London venue's attendance records

More than 3,000 members of the Bahá’l faith descended on London’s Business Design Centre (BDC) for a special event earlier this month, making in the largest conference to take place in the venue’s 23-year history.

Final figures showed that the Bahá’i five-year planning conference saw 3,200 delegates come though the doors of the BDC.
According to the venue, the event was an exciting challenge for everyone involved in organising and producing the event. “The caterers The Good Eating Company, production company AVC Productions, security team and dedicated BDC project management staff worked tirelessly to ensure that the event was a great success,” said a BDC spokesperson.
One of the organisers, Ranjit Appa, spoke highly of the venue following the event, saying: “I would like to record my appreciation and deep heartfelt thanks to everyone at the BDC for pulling out all the stops to make our conference such a successful event. Every one of the 3,200 participants were very appreciative of your facilities.

This was the largest Baha’i gathering in 45 years, which brought together people from the UK, Ireland, Sweden, Norway, Finland, Denmark, Iceland and Greenland.
The Bahá'í Faith is the youngest of the world's independent religions and has a worldwide community of some five million Bahá'ís with representatives of most of the nations, races and cultures in the world.
