New offerings from Conference Cambridge

The city of Cambridge has announced several new additions to its events offering, which will be unveiled this autumn by Conference Cambridge, Cambridge University’s official, free venue-finding service.

The Moller Centre: Just one of the new
offerings from Conference Cambridge

The new venues include: The Stephen Hawking Building at Gonville & Caius which has recently opened its doors, offering 75 en-suite superior bedrooms (singles, twins and doubles), together with the Cavonius Centre which can be divided by sound proof partitions into four conference rooms for a total of 120 delegates. All are equipped with the latest AV technology and WiFi broadband and set around the College’s beautifully landscaped gardens.

The Moller Centre has just completed its new Study Centre with unrivalled – and flexible - facilities for meetings and learning experiences. State-of-the-art AV facilities are on offer in what has been created as a collaborative learning environment, with space for large group work and smaller areas for team or individual study.

St Edmunds is a new facilities building with space for 200 people, equipped with state-of-the-art projection and AV facilities and an adjacent Garden Room for serving refreshments.

Finally, Robinson College has also unveiled its newly refurbished Auditorium, with a large beech stage, retracting apron and capacity for 270 delegates. There is also a multi-functional speakers’ podium and a robust wireless network.

Kelly Walsh, office manager, Conference Cambridge said: “These new additions to the portfolio of venues and facilities we can offer to people organising events enhance Cambridge’s international reputation as a great location for conferences and meetings.

“We can provide historic venues equipped with state-of-the-art AV technology, as well as outstanding leisure activities including punting along the famous Backs, croquet on the lawns or high quality dining in oak-panelled or contemporary dining rooms.”
