ESSA announces the programme for the 2009 G50 Summit

The annual event focusing on key issues affecting UK exhibition contractors and suppliers, the ESSA G50, will take place this year on 30 October at the Ricoh Arena in Coventry, central England.

The one-day event will cover topics such as: planning for the future; an organiser’s view of the future and the contracting market; views from a virgin exhibitor; social media; and an insight into the world of venues.

Described by previous attendees as “informative, motivational, inspiring and unified”, the programme has been developed by ESSA members for ESSA members, with 50 places on offer.

This year, ESSA has promised that the G50 will include “thought-provoking presentations from leading industry figures, challenging debate, powerful discussion about the future of the industry, and the role of ESSA members in this future”.

This year's speakers are:
– Andy Gibb, G50 chair and group managing director of Stanco Exhibitions
– Phil Soar, AEO chair and chairman of five exhibition companies
– Rashid Ghafoor, managing director of Sintrexo
– Peder Berg of Event Advantage Solutions
– Kevin Murphy, chief executive of ExCeL London
– John Sanders, event director of excite!
– Steve Barratt, managing director of the Early Action Group
– Luke Facey, managing director of Alfa Display and Design
