Coolconf helps companies get most from the Olympics

An event offering the events industry advice on how to achieve commercial success from the London 2012 Olympic Games is to be held in June.

Called Coolconf, it will take place from 2-3 June at the O2, and will include presentations from a host of high-profile speakers. The event will feature an exhibition, networking opportunities and workshops, in addition to the speaker sessions.
Session topics covered ‘Lessons Learnt from the Commonwealth Games in Manchester 2002’ by Andrew Stokes, chief executive of Marketing Manchester; “London 2012 – Is your Business Ready to Compete?” by Mike Mulvey, chief executive of the London Business Network; ‘The Importance and Benefits of Signing up to ‘The Olympic Fair Pricing Charter’ by Tracy Halliwell of Visit London; ‘The Art of Successful Bid Writing & Tendering’, and ‘Identifying, Approaching & Pitching to Sponsors & Agents’ by Nick Rusling, managing director of IMG Mass Participation Sport’.
The event is being organised by R3 events and is sponsored by Business Week, Visit London and Visit Britain. Tickets cost £295 for one day or £450 for two.
