Central London venue collective expands its portfolio

The Westminster Collection, the organisation representing a number of meetings and events venues and hotels in Central London, has seen its number of members increase by three recently.

New additions to the portfolio include St Stephen's Club, an elegant private club with a 130-year-old history, situated in a listed town house at 34 Queen Anne's Gate and facing out onto St.James's Park.

“Today, St Stephen's is both a social hub and cosy retreat in the heart of Westminster, treating all guests with discretion, warmth and efficiency,” explained club manager Bernard Moray.

Members span all ages and all walks of life, and its central location makes St Stephen's popular for events ranging from intimate business meetings to large-scale celebrations.

The club also boasts excellent cuisine, a relaxed and a private garden in a picturesque setting, with sweeping views over St James's Park.

The second recent addition to The Westminster Collection is St Martin-in-the-Fields, one of London's most iconic landmarks on Trafalgar Square, and has recently reopened following a £36 million redevelopment project.

“Our church and building has been transformed and now offers attractive new social and business spaces in London,” explained the venue’s head of marketing Julie Emig.

Most recently, The Westminster Collection has welcomed its 24th member, 66 Portland Place, the striking Art Deco home of The Royal Institute of British Architects (RIBA), located in the heart of London's West End.

“As befits the headquarters of the British architectural profession, 66 Portland Place is a showpiece of design and craftsmanship,” said RIBA venues manager Victoria Gordon-Ingram. “Events held here gain prestige and impact from the surroundings, which are as impressive today as they were when the building was first designed in the early 1930's.”

Commenting on the new additions to The Westminster Collection’s portfolio of venues, the organisation’s chief executive, René Dee, said: “All three will certainly help enhance our position as the leading, and ever-growing, business tourism marketing collective representing the very best of what Westminster can offer the event organiser, planner, and buyer of such facilities.”

The Westminster Collection is holding its fifth annual showcase this week on Thursday 5 February. For more information, visit www.thewestminstercollection.co.uk
