GBTA, Project Icarus Open Applications for Sustainable Meetings Award
The GBTA Foundation, the education and research arm of the Global Business Travel Association, and Project ICARUS have opened applications for the annual Project ICARUS Outstanding Achievement Awards for Sustainability in business travel and meetings across Europe.
The awards recognize travel buyers, suppliers and intermediaries who can demonstrate outstanding leadership, innovation and commitment to delivering best in class sustainability programs, products and services within the region.
“More and more companies are building ‘Responsible Travel’ best practices into their business travel and meetings programs," Bernard Harrop, head of sustainability, Project ICARUS, said in a statement. "We are thrilled to recognize those companies and individuals who have made an outstanding contribution to this drive to greater sustainability in our industry.”
The winners will be announced and presented with a specially commissioned bronze Project ICARUS trophy at the GBTA Annual European Conference held in Berlin on the 13th November 2014.
The closing date for applications is October 13.
