Scandinavia: Roger Kellerman Scoops JMIC Profile and Power Award at EIBTM
Meetings International founder and publisher Roger Kellerman was awarded the Joint Meetings Industry Council (JMIC) Profile and Power Award by Council president Philippe Fournier at the EIBTM Meetings Leadership Summit held this week at the Hospital de Sant Rue in Barcelona.
Kellerman joins ranks with notable industry leaders from Europe, including Vienna's Christian Mutschlechner, to have been recognised by JMIC - in this instance for his thirty year commitment to educating and developing the meetings industry across Scandinavia and the Baltic States.
The JMIC Power and Profile Award on the international circuit is akin to the Convention Industry Council`s (CIC) "Hall of Leaders" and Fournier recognized Kellerman for the enormous contribution he has made to the structural development of the regional offer.
The publisher of the International Meetings Review Scandinavian section, Kellerman has marshalled the growth of convention bureaux throughout Sweden, Norway, and Finland and contributing to a hugely sophisticated offer throughout the region.
Aside from developing Europe`s leading meetings management magazine for planners, Meetings International, Kellerman also founded `Meetings Industry Week' a yearly meetings industry educational and destination showcase which runs since 2005.
This week in Barcelona, Kellerman and Meetings International editor in chief Atti Soenarso also released the inaugural `Meetings International Business Intelligence Report for the Meetings and Events Industry.
