“From historic buildings to state of the art galleries, Birmingham and the surrounding area have it all. The city is continually building on its event offering and the past few weeks alone have seen Pope Benedict XVI visit as part of his state visit to the UK, the Green Party conference; and the British Science Festival, one of the largest festivals of its kind in Europe. There are even more developments in the pipeline including the forthcoming opening of The Cube and the return of BBC Sports Personality of the Year awards to The NEC.”
