With these two connections, TAP will have 30 weekly flights per week between Portugal and the United States.

Fernando Pinto, TAP’s executive president, underlines in a press release that the connections will “offer the North-American passengers the possibility to easily get to Lisbon, the door to Europe, and from there they will be able to take advantage of the TAP network to other destinations”.

David Neeleman, one of TAP’s shareholders, says that the company is also improving their fleet to provide a better experience to the clients. TAP has signed a partnership with JetBlue, wich was founded by Neeleman, that has flights to more than 20 destinations within the United States to JFK, Newark and Boston-Logan.
