Portugal: Ryanair and Easyjet Now Fly to Azores

EasyJetBoth airlines have announced they will fly to Azores in 2015. Ryanair will have in Ponta Delgada (capital city) the fourth base in Portugal, having one airplane that, in the beginning of the routes, will complete 20 flights a week between the Azores, Porto, Lisbon and London. The inaugural flight is scheduled for April.

Easyjet, on its turn, will operate between Lisbon and Ponta Delgada, with an Airbus A320 of 180 seats. The operation begins on March 29th and tickets are now on sale.
Other companies have expressed their intention to fly to Azores, destination which until now had only flight connections by TAP and SATA.
