ADTA's Klein wins SITE Young Leaders Scholarship

Young travel industry professionals from around the world converged on Reykjavik, Iceland, in July for the Site Academy for Young Leaders, with the aim of learning more about the motivational events industry.

The academy, held July 26-29, enabled the next generation of industry leaders to get together to learn, network and make lasting connections with other professionals in their field.

The event came together under the theme ‘Together, Learning for Tomorrow’ and provided an impactful educational platform which included insights from top industry experts on the evolution of the industry and trends, understanding and working with different personality types, relationship marketing, and building a professional image in a digital space.

Taking part in the event was Shannon Klein, conferences and exhibition executive at the Abu Dhabi Tourism Authority (ADTA), who received a scholarship to attend the event, including full registration to the conference, three nights accommodation in Reykjavik, and a flight allowance.

“Attending the Site Academy for Young Leaders was a fabulous opportunity for me to network with the future young leaders of the motivational industry, listen to inspirational speakers and share ideas amongst colleagues. The event has helped empower me to achieve my career goals of becoming a motivational asset within ADTA and has enabled me to share aspects of the training with my young Emirati peers,” Shannon Klein, conferences and exhibition executive, ADTA, told meetme.

Educational sessions included Site CEO Brenda Anderson and Site president Patrick Sullivan sharing their knowledge on how world conditions can affect incentive programmes.

“Interacting with Site Young Leaders is a breath of fresh air. They are focused, inquisitive and very talented. As our industry evolves, their creativity as future leaders will be pivotal to our industry’s long term vibrancy,” said Site CEO, Brenda Anderson.
