Iceland Campaign Promotes Volcano-Themed Excursions for Groups
Iceland's new eruption site at Vatnajokull National Park, which suddenly cracked open on August 29, continues to spew lava. To showcase Iceland's Volcano Geotourism excursions, Meet in Reykjavik (CVB) has launched an #InspiredByFire campaign targeted at meeting and incentive planners. The campaign runs until the end of October and educates meeting planners via Twitter using the hashtag #InspiredByFire on volcano-inspired-add-ons, action-packed incentive programs, and spectacular images for photo sharing.
The campaign also includes the chance for planners to win three-days in Reykjavik including an epic Volcano Flightseeing tour by registering for the Meet in Reykjavik e-newsletter here.
In a statement, Brynja Laxdal, Director of Marketing at Meet in Reykjavik, said that the campaign would appeal to planners "who are looking for over-the-top, memorable adventures" for their clients. "Within 30 minutes' drive from Reykjavik, meeting attendees can explore the inside of a dormant volcano, or toast champagne at the company meeting in a lava tube cave."
The #InspiredByFire incentive includes three nights in Reykjavik and an itinerary of Iceland's hottest Incentive activities as well as an epic volcano flightseeing tour while the eruption lasts.
#InspiredByFire runs until October 31, 2014 and is open to qualified meeting planners who subscribe to Meet in Reykjavik e-newsletter by registering here http://tinyurl.com/mir2014.
