Five Upcoming Hotels to Know for 2015

As this year comes to a close, here's a reminder of some of the top hotel developments set to unfold in 2015 (and a bit beyond).

Gainsborough Bath Spa

In a historic part of Bath, England, the Gainsborough Bath Spa is rumored to open in the spring.

There will be 99 guest rooms decorated by Champalimaud Design, a restaurant and a lobby lounge for afternoon tea. Particularly noteworthy, is the Spa Village. Located in a bath house with a four-story glass atrium, the Spa Village will have mosaic-tiled thermal pools, saunas, steam rooms, an ice chamber, treatment rooms and a 24-hour gym.

The Gainsborough Bath Spa has two different areas for a variety of functions with additional breakout rooms available. The Banquet Room and The Chapel Room each have a stage for panel discussions and a head table or a lectern with audio visual capabilities. The Chapel Room also offers direct access to The Chapel Terrace, offering capacity for an additional 60 people.

The private island of Konotta is located 211 miles to the south of Male and conveniently accessed by a 55-minute flight from Male to Kaadedhdhoo Airport, followed by a 20-minute private speedboat journey, and makes for a good corporate retreat or incentive destination.

Las Alcobas, a Luxury Collection Hotel, Napa Valley

The hotel sits on 3.4 acres and consists of the historic Acacia House, which was built as a private residence in 1907 and converted into a hotel in 1911.

Sandals Barbados

Sandals Barbados will open its doors soon after the new year on January 28, 2015, and will also be a good pick for boards of directors and incentive gatherings.

Sandals Barbados will have 280 accommodations that range from beachfront butler suites to new swim-up river suites. Foodies can try a variety of cuisine, including a steakhouse and Indian fusion. A new spa will also open in 2015. The One-Bedroom Butler Suite with Balcony Tranquility Soaking Tub is a good pick for CEOs looking to host a small gathering.
