Preview: Dr. Phillips Center Prepares for November Opening in Orlando
In Orlando, one of the most popular cities in the country for meetings and events according to Cvent, the Dr. Phillips Center for the Performing Arts is set to make its official debut in mid-November.
The $386 million venue sits on a nine-acre site, over two blocks in the middle of the city, and might (we hear) be one of the last large-scale cultural centers built in the U.S. When completed, the Center will host a range of artistic projects (The Phantom of the Opera will run for 11 days starting December 3).
For private functions, the Center has lobby spaces, a community theater and a reception room with top views of downtown Orlando available. The open concept design minimizes emphasis on walls
