Workshops to maximise revenue from Spring Fair and Autumn Fair

Emap Connect Home & Gift – organiser of Autumn Fair International and Spring Fair International – is offering free workshops to help suppliers maximise their revenue from exhibiting.

It is also sending a free step-by-step booklet to all exhibitors at both events to help them boost sales opportunities.

“We are all experiencing challenging times and we are committed to working even closer with exhibitors to help grow the value and volume of transactions they gain from our events,” said Louise Young, managing director of Emap Connect Home & Gift.

“As exhibition organisers, we have 25 years of specialist knowledge, which we are sharing to give our exhibitors an essential tool kit to maximise their return on investment.

“On average, we estimate that a combined total of £3 billion of orders are placed at Autumn Fair and Spring Fair,” Young continued. “Helping exhibitors secure as much of this spending power as possible is an integral part of our customer service.

“I believe that these tangible initiatives – coupled with keeping our prices low and continued free parking – demonstrates the investments we are making and our ability to deliver even greater return on investment to our customers.”

Four free workshops will be held in July, when the Emap team and Austen
Hawkins of F2F Events, consultant to the Association of Exhibition Organisers, will give presentations.

Designed to help exhibitors increase the value of business gained from Autumn Fair and Spring Fair, the workshops, entitled Maximising Your Return From Exhibiting, will cover the essentials of “planning your exhibition presence and attracting buyers’ attention” and “a guide to reaping the rewards after the event”.

Using their experience from springfair.com, the Emap team will also share the effectiveness of social media as a promotional tool.

The workshops are aimed at all suppliers, whether they are first-time exhibitors, have been showing for many years or are considering exhibiting. First-time or second-year exhibitors will also benefit from special new exhibitor packs.

The workshops will be held at The Toute Suite, NEC, Birmingham on July 13 (10am and 2pm) and at Emap, Greater London House, Hampstead Road, NW1 on July 15 (10am and 2pm) – companies are welcome to send as many people as they feel appropriate. Each workshop will last two-and-a-half hours and include a light lunch.

The booklet, How to Maximise Your Return on Investment, will give advice on what exhibitors should do before, during and after the shows, and include information on how to make the most of the websites autumnfair.com and springfair.com, special offers, public relations, advertising and sponsorship opportunities, as well as the setting and measurement of show objectives.
