Mobility business uses roadshow to launch new products




Days Healthcare, one of the UK’s leading supplier of mobility products for independent living, recently launched a range of new products to the trade with a four-venue roadshow produced by event production and experiential specialist Line Up.
 
In total, more than 250 independent mobility retailers, journalists, carers and physiotherapists attended the four events, held during July. The chosen venues were Down Hall Country House Hotel in Hertfordshire, Tortworth Court in Gloucestershire, Crewe Hall in Cheshire and Slaley Hall in Northumberland.
 
The format for each regional event began with a welcome lunch, followed by a series of interactive product displays and demonstrations. A key focus was the launch of the company’s new wheelchair range. 

After being escorted around the hands-on exhibition, guests were given the chance to try out various products on a simple Urban Obstacles course outside each venue.

The day culminated with Days’ Centre of Excellence conference, where key directors outlined the company’s vision and shared new consumer insights with retailers, before guests were treated to dinner and an overnight stay at the hotel.
 
Line Up’s running of the event covered everything from design and technical production to video creation and the management of all logistics.
 
“These immersive customer events were designed to reinforce Days Healthcare’s position as a forward-thinking, market-leading provider of independent living solutions,” explained Line Up managing director Duncan Beale. “Staging a series of smaller local events rather than a single national one was far more appropriate for the target audience, and effectively demonstrated Days’ commitment to its customers.”
 
Commenting on initial reaction to the road show, Steve Holton, director and general manager at Days Healthcare, said: “Early feedback from our customers has been very positive. We’re determined to strengthen our reputation for service excellence and support our retailers in every way we can. Line Up did a great job in making a relatively limited event budget go a long way in a short space of time.”
