Charity enlists help of experiential agency to plan 140th anniversary event




Family Action has appointed live marketing agency Live Union to manage a milestone event for the charity.
The event will be held on 21 October 2009, celebrating the charity’s 140th birthday and raising funds for their new £1 million Building Bridges Appeal.

“Live Union offered our team the specialist support we require to ensure that what is a very important event for Family Action will be a huge success,” said Sam Clarke, fundraising board manager at Family Action.

Previously Family Welfare Association, Family Action rebranded in 2008 to reflect the wide-ranging practical, emotional and financial assistance that the charity delivers to more than 45,000 families a year.

Support is provided through 100 centres across England, which work with families when and where they are most in need.

Building Bridges is a unique service to support families where a parent has, or is at high risk of, developing a serious mental illness. It helps children to understand their parent’s illness and parents to grow confident about caring for their children.
