UK: ExCeL London Wins Three International Medical Conferences
ExCeL London and London & Partners have announced three major international association wins for the city - as well as record-busting delegate figures.
The European Respiratory Society and Euroanaesthesia will both head to the venue in 2016 for the first time, while the European League Against Rheumatism (EULAR) will return to ExCeL following its successful event in 2011.
London has also registered record-breaking delegate numbers for recent international congresses hosted: the European Association for the Study of the Liver (EASL) saw more than 10,000 attendees, its highest ever attendance, at its April conference, and the European Society of Pathology saw a 23 per cent increase in attendance at its annual conference in September compared to 2013.
The European Society of Cataract & Refractive Surgeons (ESCRS), the European Society of Retina Specialists (EURETINA) and the European Society of Cornea and Ocular Surface Disease Specialists (EuCornea) also saw the largest ever gathering of eye specialists in London this year.
