Sarah Farrugia:Make your Christmas an event!

The events expert recommends getting out over the holidays and having fun, experiencing events from an audience perspective for a change.

2009 is going to be challenging if not downright tough. There is no easy win, no magic formula.

But right now the big question I am asking myself as the Christmas lights switch on is, can I switch off?

Leaving work behind to focus on family and friends for Christmas is easier said than done.

Loafing on the sofa, although so tempting, isn’t always the best way to wind down.

Strange, but true, when times are tough, sometimes the best thing to do is to go out, do something different, perhaps even join in the festivities at local events.

Schools, theatres, comedy clubs, churches, even friends’ homespun events all need audiences. So why not be part of the audience for a change.

Book in some silliness, put on the paper hat, sound the childish blower, lighten up and have some fun!

We work in live events all year round, bringing thoughts, ideas and real lives together.

We put on a show for one and all.

This Christmas I, for one, am going to make sure my own special event is great. The New Year will have to wait.

It’s a big task next year to keep events high on the agenda, but actually it’s always a big task, so right now it’s time for a break.

Have a great one!
