Offering an essential window into the growing potential of South East Europe’s meetings and events facilities, Conventa takes place next week from 19-20 January in the Slovenian capital Ljubljana.
Comprising an exhibition and educational seminar programme, Conventa already has more than 200 confirmed hosted buyers attending the show, from countries across Europe, including France, Germany, Italy, the UK, Belgium, Netherlands and Russia, all in search of original venues, inspirational destinations and great value for their meetings and events.
The exhibition will feature more than 100 meetings providers from across South East Europe showcasing their meetings and incentive offerings, including Albania, Austria, Croatia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Bulgaria, Montenegro, Serbia and Italy, presenting visitors with a host of new and exciting venues and destinations to explore.
Meanwhile, Conventa’s extensive education programme presents a variety of opportunities for visitors to gain key industry knowledge and catch up with the lastest best practice. This year’s sessions include:
– Old Wine, New Bottles: CPL Events’ Linda Pereira takes a look at the state of the meetings industry in the aftermath of the global economic crisis.
– Buying and Selling in Today’s Meetings Industry: Paul Kennedy of Kennedy Consulting, CPL’s Linda Pereira and Patrick Delaney of Ovation Global DMC examine the secret to successful trading in the meetings sector in the 21st Century.
– IMEX-MPI Future Leaders Forum: One of the premier education programmes for future talent in the meetings and events industry comes to Conventa. Students from across South East Europe will be able to soak up important insight into the industry and learn about the career opportunities on offer.
