AIM Group International develops DMC activity




AIM Group International, the Italian PCO with annual sales of €115 million and offices in 12 European cities, has developed DMC activities, to be offered alongside its core business of medical conferences and and pharma events. It plans to launch a new brand and website for its DMC division at Frankfurt’s IMEX next May.

 

“Art, culture, food and wine are key to Italy’s international appeal, and our offer for inbound clients will focus on these areas, through our offices in Milan, Rome and Florence”, said Paolo Ottone, quality manager at AIM Group International.

 

Meanwhile, through its European offices (Brussels, Budapest [pictured], Lisbon, Madrid, Paris, Prague, Sofia, Vienna and Vilnius), AIM Group International has already launched DMC operations, successfully penetrating the South African market. After the merger with AIMS in 2009 and consolidation in Europe, AIM Group International has strengthened its role as an international partner for the organisation of events in Europe, and has even gained a foothold in emerging markets.

For South African companies, AIM Group International has organised three incentive trips, one to Hungary and two to Portugal: in the former, a group of 50 salespeople from an agroindustrial company visited  Budapest, Bratislava and Prague, immersing themselves in the special atmosphere of Central Europe for a week; in the second trip, 160 bank employees stayed in Pousada de Cascais, then continued their journey to the north of the country, to Porto and the Douro Valley. A third group, consisting of 85 managers from a financial group, began their Portuguese experience in the north, before moving on to Coimbra, Nazareth and then finally Lisbon.

 

“The inbound sector is a growth area for us, and also involves other relevant markets like Brazil and Russia”, said Paolo Ottone. “We have been able to expand our client portfolio by taking part in trade shows and launching sales initiatives in specific countries. The three incentive trips that we organised for the South African corporates were the result of this intense work”.
