The Vienna Convention Bureau is staying up-to-date with the latest tech and hospitality to stay at the forefront of the convention industry. Here is the he latest in Vienna’s meetings and events industry:
New Design at the Vienna Marriott Hotel
The Vienna Marriott Hotel has redesigned its rooms, in a project headed by Carbone Interior Designs. Woods and exclusive fabrics were used to create a unique atmosphere; the turquoise and beige color patterns convey ease, freshness, and tranquility; and the new design allows for larger and more modern bathrooms. Additionally, a new health club fully equipped with the latest Technogym Artis fitness collection, various saunas, and a 12-meter swimming pool with water fountain, has opened.
The Fastest Way From “A” to “B” in Vienna
With Vienna’s various congress events, their public transport network is crucial to getting around. The Wiener Linien Congress Ticket (EUR 16.40 for three days, and EUR 2.20 for every extra day) allows organizers to conveniently reach all of the city’s events by public transport. The city’s 161 public transport services run at all hours, meaning that passengers can reach their hotels safely even after midnight.
Messe Wien Revolutionizes The Congress Business With Waytation
Messe Wien Exhibitions & Congress Center plans to use Waytation, a new plug & play solution for the precise analysis of customer, visitor, and attendee behavior during events. Waytation only uses a small chip that could be attached to the visitor’s badge, and does not require any app download, access to personal data, or filling out questionnaires. Waytation provides organizers with a cloud platform, where the generated data and analyses can be monitored and compared. It also shows the number of attendees at the event’s sessions or lectures and it pictures the top-spots.
3D Tour of Austria Center Vienna
Organizers from around the world will have a chance to view the Austria Center Vienna via 3D model prior to arriving, so navigating the 24 halls, 180 meeting rooms, and 22,000 square meters of foyers is less intimidating. The virtual tour begins at the entrance and the menu provides additional details such as room capacities, locations of the 100 full HD screens, and the lifts. Integrated 360° panoramic views enable users to look around the different rooms and get a feel for various settings.
The Henri Lou Event Location at Palais Hansen Kempinski
The Henri Lou at Palais Hansen Kempinski is suitable for every kind of event such as press conferences, presentations, cocktail receptions, and business breakfasts. The concept can be adapted completely to the customer’s needs for up to 90 participants. A separate room in the back of Henri Lou can be used for one-on-one conversations and interviews. The event location has a separate entrance and can be operated independently from the hotel. It is also possible to smoke inside Henri Lou.
Green Meetings at Hilton Austria
Hilton Worldwide’s Meet with Purpose program gives companies the opportunity to book environmentally responsible meetings. The program aims to reduce waste, improve efficiencies, and incorporate well-being. The award-winning program also offers the possibility to calculate the carbon footprint of the meeting with the LightStay Meeting Calculator. Hilton Hotels Austria partnered with the EMAS-certified AV provider AV Bernhard, and has both the Austrian Ecolabel and the TripAdvisor Green Leader gold and platinum certificates.

Austrian Airlines Offers Flight Service to Hong Kong
