PCMA: Melbourne Flagship Can Be Yours for Just $150,000

PCMA Interview: Karen Bolinger, CEO, Melbourne Convention Bureau from Fred Productions Ltd. on Vimeo.

This month, the industry spotlight moves to Melbourne, Australia, which plays host to AIME, Asia Pacific's leading exhibition for the business events industry and where 750 exhibitors will connect with over 3,000 meeting and business event professionals, including 550 international hosted buyers.

The Victorian state government has recently announced additional investments in a 20,000 square metre expansion of the city's flagship venue, the Melbourne Convention and Exhibition Centre, with construction tenders already under way. And concurrently, Melbourne has continued to be actively courting the international conventions sector, evidenced at PCMA's Convening Leaders conference in January as only the second city outside of the U.S. to put itself up for the PCMA Education Foundation's "Citywide Auction.

Melbourne Convention Bureau Chief Executive Karen Bolinger explains how the organization is using strategic partnerships with PCMA [and others] to
support a rejuvenated federal government policy under new Prime Minister Malcolm Turnbull, eager to build links between science and business as
detailed in a recent article by The Economist.
