MPI makes new appointment to its senior management team

Meg Fasy is the new vice president of sales and marketplace performance at Meeting Professionals International (MPI).

In her new role, Fasy will be responsible for MPI’s global sales efforts, which includes advancing partner relationships and overseeing all revenue streams for advertising and strategic partnerships, as well as supporting the fundraising efforts of the MPI Foundation.

These are all key areas that financially support the educational programmes, research and business resources MPI delivers to its member community.

Fasy has vast experience in senior-level sales and marketing, along with extensive business development expertise. She previously served as vice president of venue development for nTAG Interactive, a former provider of event data management (EDM) solutions for the meetings and event industry.

She has also held executive positions with Event Strategy Group and iBAHN, a worldwide provider of secure wireless broadband services for hoteliers and meeting organisers.

Additionally, Fasy has worked with Mandalay Bay Resort & Casino, Philadelphia Convention & Visitors Bureau, and the Hyatt Corporation.

“We are very fortunate to have someone of her caliber, insight and dedication join our team,” said Katie Callahan-Giobbi, chief business architect for MPI and executive vice president of the MPI Foundation. “Ms Fasy believes in MPI and in our industry and has many ideas that will take our global organization to the next level.”
