Destination marketing association joins JMIC




The Destination Marketing Association International (DMAI) has announced that it has become the eighth member of the Joint Meetings Industry Council (JMIC), alongside other respected associations ICCA, IAPCO, COCAL, AIPC, ECM, SITE and MPI.

JMICs international member organisations share a common interest and involvement in the meetings industry, which brings together: meetings, conventions, exhibitions, trade shows and corporate/incentive travel. Headquartered in Brussels, Belgium, its main objective is the profiling and positioning of the Meetings Industry as a distinct and important part of the global economy.

DMAI’s purpose as a new member of JMIC is to represent destination marketing organisations (DMOs) as a critical link in the production chain of meetings and events. With the establishment of European headquarters in Brussels in 2007, DMAI established its global focus.

For over 94 years DMAI has been generating awareness of destination marketing’s role in the meetings and tourism industry, as well as providing destination marketing professionals with cutting edge resources and education.
