Myriad Marketing, Melbourne Convention Bureau’s representation agency for North America, has appointed Maria Rivera to the position of MCB Director of Business Development, North America.
In this role, Rivera will work to position Melbourne as a premier business events destination, with Myriad’s Washington DC office promoting the city to the North American market.

She has also previously worked at Tourism Toronto where she created the first ever joint customer event with the Hawaiian Convention Center and Hawaii partners.
Rivera is a member of the Professional Convention Management Association (PCMA) and holds a Bachelor of Political Science and Government.
“The North American association and incentive market is a key focus for MCB and Maria’s experience will be invaluable in strengthening relationships with meeting managers from across the country," Karen Bolinger, Chief Executive Officer of MCB, said in a statement. "She will help us go to the next level in achieving our vision for Melbourne to be recognized as one of the world’s most successful conference and meetings destinations.”
