Australia: Tryp by Wyndham Hotel a boost for Brisbane
Australia’s first Tryp by Wyndham hotel in Brisbane has been officially opened this week by Brisbane Lord Mayor, Graham Quirk (pictured second right), who attended the ceremony along with Minister for Tourism and Major Events Jann Stuckey (pictured right), and leaders from the business, tourism and arts industries.
Quirk declared the art hotel in Brisbane’s Fortitude Valley open with the unveiling of a commissioned art piece by local artist, David Hooper of Artist Hive.
The 65-room art hotel features murals and street art by acclaimed artists Beastman, Rone, Numskull and Fintan Magee.
The Lord Mayor said Fortitude Valley was in the midst of a revitalisation with developments such as Tryp Fortitude Valley Hotel contributing to the growth momentum of the Valley’s economy.
“Brisbane continues to grow its reputation as a destination of choice for business, investment and major events,” Quirk said.
