Australia: Shangri-La Sydney to Unveil Renovated Rooms
Shangri-La Hotel, Sydney will unveil an $8 million refurbishment next month, with 90 hotel rooms and suites on the top five accommodation levels to reopen in stages from mid-November 2014.
They will be among the biggest hotel rooms available in Sydney, with the largest suite offering 242sqm of living and entertaining space with two bedrooms, an executive study room, private dining room, a personal butler and a grand piano.
Opening in December, the Horizon Club lounge will have new décor and will include one of Sydney’s only communal tables in a 5-star hotel club lounge, as well as boardroom facilities, wi-fi and broadband internet, and magazines and newspapers.
“The demand for our Horizon Club facilities has been overwhelming and, with our new Horizon Club floor, more guests are able to experience the higher standard of accommodation that the Horizon Club offers, as well as the acclaimed personalized service, special privileges and amenities,” said Shangri-La Hotel, Sydney’s vice president and general manager, Michael Cottan.
