In partnership with:

The $14 million Tjapukai Indigenous Experiences is set to be completed at Tjapukai Aboriginal Cultural Park, near Cairns in Queensland, in April 2015.

Tjapukai will unveil several new additions to the park including the Circle of Life Theatre which uses advanced visual special effects to explain the ancient dreamtime story; Bundarra Cassowary Egg Theatre, a brand new auditorium with live performances ranging from contemporary dance to live theatre; and Historical Journey, an informative and interactive timeline gallery that uses a range of media to explain and explore the Djabugay people’s history.

A new Art Exhibition Gallery is a state-of-the-art, environmentally conscious gallery that brings the outdoors in, as visitors appreciate ancient and contemporary Indigenous art and sculpture.

The Sugar Bag Restaurant and outdoor Café, will also serve Indigenous-inspired dishes, with some produce sourced from the restaurant’s own gardens.
