Australia: ACC Festival Joins Tourism ‘Hall of Fame’
Just four years after its launch, the Adelaide Convention Centre’s (ACC) Cellar Door Wine Festival Adelaide has been inducted into the South Australian Tourism Awards (SATA) Hall of Fame.
The announcement, which was made at the annual SATA gala dinner last Friday (November 14), followed the Festival winning the SATA Festival and Events award for three consecutive years.
Conceived and managed by the ACC, the festival is the largest consumer wine event in the country in terms of the number of producers exhibiting.
ACC chief executive Alec Gilbert said the festival has become iconic because of the overwhelming support from participants and visitors alike.
“The Cellar Door Wine Festival Adelaide showcases the state’s premium food wine and food producers to local, national and international consumers and demonstrates the ACC’s commitment to promoting South Australia,” he said.
