Second Asia Meeting and Incentive Travel Exchange Set to Run Next July in Singapore

The second annual Asia Meeting and Incentive Travel Exchange is set to kick off on July 1, 2015 at the Marina Bay Sands Singapore.

AMITE is the Asian edition of the Global Meetings & Incentive Travel Exchange (GMITE) portfolio, a MICE exchange program serving the industry for the last 10 years. AMITE is produced by Questex Hospitality + Travel (the parent company of International Meetings Review) in partnership with the Singapore Association of Convention and Exhibition Organisers and Suppliers (SACEOS).

“AMITE 2015 will not be a typical buyers-meet-sellers travel exchange,” Janet Tan-Collis, SACEOS President and CEO of East West Planners said in a statement. "As a professional meeting planner, I know that the week-long program provides buyers with insights and value that is more valuable than a simple free trip. It’s crucial that the time spent at AMITE is meaningful and productive."

Participation in AMITE is by invitation only and limited to qualified, high-volume MICE travel buyers with Asia products on their current or past books and near-future plans.

The interactive format of AMITE 2015 is designed to keep participants actively engaged. Suppliers will be able to interact with buyers and feature their products throughout the process.

AMITE 2015 will be held in conjunction with the Fifth Annual Singapore MICE Forum (SMF), organized by SACEOS. Buyers at AMITE 2015 will be invited to attend the opening SMF keynote address as special guests of SACEOS.

In additional to guaranteed and scheduled one-to-one meetings between buyers and suppliers, AMITE 2015 will offer participants networking opportunities, including a welcome cocktail reception and gala dinner.

Suppliers and buyers at AMITE 2014 participated in over 340 one-to-one meetings in a single day. Travel suppliers at AMITE 2014 included tourism boards, convention and exhibition bureaus, cruise lines, destination marketing companies, luxury hotels and convention centers.

"The one-to-one meetings were very fruitful," 2014 attendee Agnes Csiszar, Incentive Department head for Vista Travel Center, a travel agency from Poland, said. "I am glad that AMITE had suppliers from all over South East Asia. I learned a lot about Singapore and Sarawak. I truly believe it will help me to promote Asia more than I did in the past."

Participation at AMITE 2015 is limited for both buyers and suppliers. To inquire about the hosted buyer program, contact Daniel Chan, Questex Hospitality + Travel content manager, at [email protected]. Travel-related suppliers who would like to showcase their destinations, products or services should contact Kitty Wong, Questex Hospitality + Travel business development manager, at [email protected].
