Indian meetings and events leaders gather in Mumbai for MaxiMICE

Around 150 of India's leading meeting and event sector figures will be congregating at the The Leela Kempinski hotel, Mumbai on 31 January 2011, for this year's MaxiMICE conference.

MaxiMICE is a leadership seminar and networking event for decision makers in the meetings, incentives, conferences and events industry in India, created by EVENTFAQS Media. Now in its third year, the conference brings together corporate representatives and agencies within the sector to discuss the growth, direction and trends within the industry.

"The MaxiMICE conference is one of the only platforms dedicated exclusively to discussing the MICE industry in India," says Karishma Hundalani, head of brand & content at EVENTFAQS Media. "The event strives to raise important issues and trends within the MICE space in India while also allowing for networking among the various stakeholders of the industry."

Maximising returns: Mubai's Leela Kempinski hotel will welcome some of India's top meetings sector decision makers

Hundalani continues: "While the focus is on brand and corporate representation as an audience to MaxiMICE, the platform also caters to other stakeholders and service providers of the MICE industry, including, planners, travel and tourism agencies, tourism boards and destination management companies."

This year's delegates will enjoy a range of discussions and seminars. "The conference will begin with an international case study presentation and trend analysis from the international MICE industry by Johanna Fischer, managing director of tmf Gmbh," explains Hundalani. "There will also be a panel discussion engaging corporate representatives from India, to highlight the realities of the Indian MICE industry and the potential to drive innovation in meeting and event planning. Confirmed panelists for the discussion include Jolly Mathews, senior manager training for Novartis, Akshay Mehrotora, head of marketing for Bajaj, Allianz, and Aparna Ranadive, vice president and head of HR for Sony Entertainment Television."

There will also be presentations on creating innovative incentive ideas by Richard Jones, business development director Asia for SeaDream Yacht Club, and Ryan Ingram of Real Journeys, New Zealand.

"The MaxiMICE conference has seen encouraging growth over the past three years, both in terms of participation and content and discussion," says Hundalani. "Through promotional and engagement efforts, EVENTFAQS continues to be in dialogue with relevant corporate and brand representatives in the MICE space. Since these corporations invest considerably in MICE programs, representatives from such organisations are hosted to the conference. All other stakeholders of the MICE industry, such as planners, travel and tourism agencies, tourism boards and destination management companies can participate in the conference through a simple registration process and fee."

On 11 February, MaxiMICE will also be holding a gala dinner, which will be hosted by the New Zealand High Commission in New Delhi.
