Australian venue performance system ready to go

New software designed to evaluate meetings and events venues across Australia is due to be rolled out through a series of workshops across the country over the next two months.

The Business Events Venue Performance (BVEP) software collects and aggregates business event and delegate data from participating hotels, event venues and convention centres across Australia. It then uses this information to measure the performance and health of the business events sector in Australia. The Australian Government’s TQUAL Grants Scheme provided funds to enhance the software and to roll it out to the industry.

Once the software is installed and data regularly uploaded by hotels, convention centres and event venues, each participating venue will be able to customise and use the system to assess their performance over time and against the industry average on a wide range of variables.

To help with the smooth implementation of the system, a number of half day workshops are being held during October and November. The schedule is as follows:

Melbourne – Thursday 7 October & Tuesday 9 November
Sydney – Friday 8 October & Thursday 4 November
Canberra – Wednesday 13 October
Hobart – Thursday 14 October
Brisbane – Tuesday 19 October
Gold Coast- Wednesday 20 October
Adelaide - Wednesday 27 October
Darwin – Thursday 28 October
Perth – Wednesday 10 November
