BUCKING THE FIZZ:Time to fill events with business, not champagne




Michel Couturier, president and chief executive of global destination marketing firm Marketing Challenges International, coolly assesses the pressures on the meetings and incentive travel industry from both government and corporates. He tells James Latham at the MPI’s MeetDifferent conference that less champagne may flow, but that businesses need to meet to do business, and that it’s the industry’s job to advise them on how to plan events as efficiently and effectively as possible.
